Black Screens Releases First Single - Sweeter Than Ever (Ft. Sun U)

Atmospheric trip-hop project, Black Screens, have released a long-awaited single “Sweeter Than Ever” recorded in collaboration with a talented multi-instrumentalist and vocalist SUN U.

“Sweeter Than Ever” is the first single by the Black Screens. The song thematizes the desire for human touch in a society increasingly associated with the feeling of alienation and loneliness.

“It’s an intimate song in which the subject yearns for someone’s attention just to feel alive for a brief moment, but the video serves as an antithesis to one’s need. We get a whole another dimension in which we see the difference between the desire and the reality that separates lovers.”

Video captures the contrast between images and sounds and distance between people in the modern world. The reasons are open to interpretation but one thing is for certain - loneliness in a digital age is the new normal.
