Lead Single, Nuff Said, Drops Ahead of Upcoming Debut Album
Mista Books is planning on dropping his debut album soon, entitled “Hardcover” and a brand new video for the lead single “Nuff Said” which was exclusively released via Configaration Records/Laidlaw Media on Friday June 28, 2019!
Mista Books delivers lyrical prowess, this time about “industry puppets”, over producer SBK’s gritty boom bap production. The first verse is aimed at the “bunch of dancing clowns” perpetuating mediocrity whilst Books acknowledges it “ain’t easy in the game being a real MC”. The second verse is reserved for fake friends, “there’s a difference between winning and losing/picking your friends and enemies so watch what your doing” he warns.
Mos Qwite’s visuals capture the essence of Nigeria in this new video, with street images and urban life creating the perfect backdrop for Mista Books’ intense and captivating delivery.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
MISTA BOOKS
Born in Lagos, Nigeria, in the late 80's he ventured to Newark, New Jersey with his Mother who was working there at the time. Whilst in NJ, Books became immersed in the style of music surrounding him during what is now known as the “Golden Age” of hip-hop.
Upon returning to Nigeria he studied Mass Communication, Journalism, Multimedia, Art and Design. He also joined a hip-hop crew called "D.O.Beez" (Deez Other Brothers), in 2001, right around the time when the scene was becoming big in the country. Going solo from there, Mista Books has continued to remain busy, releasing several mixtapes, singles, videos and even documentaries.
Mista Books has since become a renowned name within the Nigerian hip-hop scene and has been at the forefront of the “conscious” hip-hop movement there for well over a decade, speaking upon his countries various socio-political, economic and religious issues. His ultimate aim is to make positive music that can affect lives, encourage humanity and make people think.
