ABOUT THE ARTIST
DATAHOAX
A wordsmith/producer born in the Urban jungles of Midlands Britain, DataHoaX (AKA Jonny Pearce), spent his early years familiarizing himself with the the lyrical intricacies of old school legends KRS-One and Jeru the Damaja.
A self-styled “SuperVillain Emcee” his subject matter and production style tend to lean to the darker side of hip-hop. His perfectionism is apparent as is his dedication to the craft and love of vocabulary. Despite (unashamedly) suffering from Bi-Polar Type 1, DataHoaX has still battled through against the odds and carved himself a niche within the soundscapes of gritty, boom bap hip-hop.
His persistence and passion are clear to all who encounter his music and the term “doing it for the love” was made for him. His sensibilities lie in mastering the art-form and learning how to express himself in the clearest way he possibly can.
